First topic message reminder :

Today's the day, we all told ourselves. After two years of planning, two years we'd never get back, today was the day. It started out without a hitch. We went to our normal jobs, delegated by the Toa who ran this place. Fools. They never assumed, never even let it slip into their bloated, self-righteous heads that maybe we would escape. No. It couldn't be possible. Maybe it wouldn't have crossed ours, either, if conditions weren't so crappy here. We were beaten, starved, and degraded, which is NOT the way you want to fix the "dregs of society" like us. But I digress.

It started small. A prisoner or two "disappeared", the guards were sure it was just another murder. Security was loosened. That's when we took our chance. We overpowered what guards we could overpower, took what weapons we could, and torched that darn island to the ground. Hagah, that was their name for it. After some Toa Team of guardians. About 60 of us planned our escape. A quarter of that didn't make it, including my best friend. Crazy Piraka charged into a guard tower with an improvized explosive strapped to his chest trying to distract the sharpshooters. It wasn't pretty.

Anyway, we got to the teleportation devices that the prison inspectors used, but we found out they had already been switched to one-way when we sent five prisoners in and they came back in scorched body bags. Now we were stuck, and the Prison Board could fill the darn island with guards, cops, bounty hunters and the like whenever they wanted to. So, the 40 of us that were left went our seperate ways, figuring there was no way we could all get out in one big group. Now here we are, 40 murderers, thieves, drug cookers, and the like, trying to get off whatever's left of Hagah alive...and free.

Oh, happy days.

-Kellin (Prisoner #48104)

Locations

Hagah - The main island, home of the prison.

Hagah State Prison - Or what's left of it. The whole place was destroyed by the prisoners, and now only a few intact pieces of it are being used as bases for prisoners who are trying to form their own governmental system.

Free Hagah - The settlement constructed by the special police force that the Prison Board sent to quell the prisoners. Getting in here is murder, literally. The orders are shoot on sight unless you have the Guardchip embedded in your arm.

The Hagah Islets - There is a ring of dwarf islands surrounding Hagah, six to be exact, and each is named after a Toa Hagah.

Norik - The Islet of fire, Hakann, rival of everyone but himself, and second in command of the Prison board, resides here. The islet is no more than one miles in diameter, as all of the islets are. In the very center of this land of fire and lava is a black dome, burnt, with one entrance. Inside this base is Hakann and his soldiers.

Gaaki - The Islet of Water, this place is a small jungle with many rivers and small lakes, in the center of the lush jungle is a steel dome base, surrounded by about a hundred yards of dirt and sand. Vezok, the Piraka who lives and works there, doesn't like nature.

Iruini - The Islet of Air, it is basically a foggy island, with nothing on it but a gunmetal dome base, where Zaktan, the leader of the Prison Board, lives and works. Some very odd rumors come from this islet, such as the idea that Zaktan is the fog, or at least lives in it.

Pouks - The Islet of Stone, this small island is a metal box, surrounded by a force field, it's actually obvious that Avak lives here. No one is ever seen coming out, or going in, and nothing is known about the inside.

Kualus - The Islet of ice, it is a living mountain, just like the one on Xia, except it is under control by the islet's owner, Thok. The base on this islet is said to be deep within the mountain.

Bomonga - The Islet of Earth, it is nothing but a flat surface or sand, sinking sand, it is rumored to have it's base in the center of the sand pit. Reidak and his soldier dwell here, but they are rarely seen.

That's pretty much it. The smart ones don't generally stay in one place. It's an easy way to get captured or killed.

Factions

Prison Board - Otherwise known as The Piraka, six Skakdi who work for the Dark Hunters. They poorly run the island, and are the cause of the riot, and this whole problem with the Prison. Some say they were trying to make the Prisoners into a large army, but they backfired on them, and the riot began.

Prisoners - The 40 survivors of the Prisonbreak. They're generally not seen in groups, as it brings too much attention from the Board. They're mainly trying to get off the island alive, and all allegiances between them are fragile at best.

Natives - The residents of Hagah. They're abused by the Prison Board and treated bluntly by the prisoners, so it's not likely that they'd be too happy to see a member of either side.

Playable Species

Matoran
Toa
Steltian
Vortixx
Skakdi
Turaga

There are rumors that something went wrong with the teleporation devices when the prisoners tried using them, and a couple Black and White Makuta leaked out of some alternate dimensions. What a load of junk, huh?

Well, anyway, good luck surviving. I've told you all I can. Hope to see you in the free world, mate.

Rules

• BZP Rules apply, obviously.
• No god-modding (e.g. controlling someone else's character, having your character do something impossible). And if someone god-mods against you, don't do it back, tell a Prisonbreak Mod.
• This is a Text-Based RPG, so to join in you post what is basically a miniature story for what is currently happening to your character.
• Use IC for In-Character and OOC for Out-Of-Character.
e.g.:
IC: The Toa leapt from ledge to ledge, seeking the rogue Rahi.

OOC: Hey Randommember1, care to join in?
• Don't bunny (meaning control extensively) other peoples characters without their permission.
• Don't kill anothers character without permission.
• Unlimited Characters.
• No silliness such as suddenly turning everyone's swords into feather dusters and having a tickle-off. Believe me, it's not as funny as you think.
• Don't glory hog or continuously degrade someone else's character.
• Along with current restrictions you are not allowed any unreasonable elements (Life, Creation, or Time) and all characters are incapable of performing Nova Blasts. Light and Shadow are allowed, but only if you have a good enough reason deemed fit by a majority of the Prisonbreak mods. Custom species are allowed, but custom elements aren't. Current unusable masks are the Komau, Avohkii, Kraahkan, Mask of Creation, Mask of Elemental Energy, Aki, Rua, or any Kanohi Nuva.

Credit to The Power That Is for the above rules (with some modifications).

IC Ikod:

Ikod looked at the file, and pulled it off the table, he opened it up, and read it. Another good thing about the Suletu, great memory, photographic, some would say. Ikod now knew almost everything about Kellin's time here, and a bit of his past.

"Who doesn't? This guy's a legend, everybody knows him. I'd say he's the soul of the riot, but, I haven't run into him yet," he told Vezok, letting that exact thought float to Vezok's mind, even if it was shielded.

He decided to be blunt, "Forget Kellin," he tossed his file to Dorian, "I'd like to talk about weapons. No, not guns or swords, or even masks, I'm talking about bombs."

"I don't--what?" Cipher asked, turning towards the spot. Eyes narrowed, his danger sense began to softly warn him that he wasn't in a good spot.

Might be nothing...

IC: WHOOSH

Slowly, carefully, Hualn hovered towards the spot of light. It grew steadily as time passed, and now he could see it, the prison, crumbling in the heat, in the distance. Fires had broken out across it as he had seen, and he continued to make his way closer to the nearest one.

But wait-was that-?

Catching a dull gleam out of the corner of his eye, he stopped, seeing a group of what appeared to be ragtag escaped prisoners in a hole in the wall, led by a Toa whose colors made him out as Sonics. He grimaced. Karz. He reached for his sword-

-Then stopped, realizing that the group was only visible because there was a fire nearby.

A slight smirk found itself upon his lips. Right now, they could not see him, only hear a faint wind in the distance, if anything, due to night's blackness. That meant that as long as he kept to the darkness of the night for as long as possible and keep a fair distance of around a twenty bio from them at all times, it was likely they would just think it was the night breeze gliding past. Of course, problems would arise when he attempted to approach the fire, so he would have to pick another one on another side of the building. But he was fine with that. As long as he didn't interfere, he'd get out of this without disciplinary punishment.

Moving stealthily now and keeping the distance of roughly twenty bio from the prisoners, Hualn glided across the ground. Circumscribing what he guessed could be their range of sensory ability at said length, he changed course to move around a corner to his left of the escaped prisoners and find fire there in one blazing from a roof. If all went well, no one would notice and there would be no conflict between him and the convicts.

WHOOSH

OOC: Yeah, the group led by the Toa of Sonic's is Kellin's PC one. I figured the first thing Hualn would see about them and judge they were prisoners by was their motley weaponry, group appearance, etc.

IC: Cipher stopped. Turning to his right, he narrowed his eyes and gazed across the landscape. All he could hear was the faint rush of a breeze, but... something was just off.

He could swear he felt a presence, but, then again, his tried-and-true danger sense didn't seem to be tripped by anything right now.

But he could have sworn something was there, just beyond the detection range of detection by his senses, and it bugged him.

He stared in that direction for a while longer, then gave a half-hearted shrug and jogged to catch back up with the others.

"I had to have felt something. Can't be nothing there and have you feel like you're bein' watched, can there?" he asked himself.

IC Trip:

After buying time for the prisoners being terrorized by Ataz, Trip began to rummage through the systems for any information on a nuclear bomb. He hadn't gotten far, as a swarm of guards had burst into the room. Within moments, he knocked over one of the shelves of data and slammed through the wall, disappearing into the carnage of the burning prison.

Now? Trip was in the heart of the inferno, feeling weak and overwhelmed. True, he could withstand the flames, but... this was too much. His infrared sights were useless; all noise was overshadowed by the crackling of fire and the collapsing rubble. He tried to look back on the memory of the map, but concentrating on anything was a feat at this point. His metallic blue figure was hidden under a layer of ash, and the charred armor lining his body.

The android would not last long. He walked on, looking for a sign of a way out of the blaze, but saw none. Unexpectedly a yell emanated from the hardened prisoner, an unnatural robotic roar, mixed in with all his rage and helplessness. Then there was weightlessness, as Trip lost his grip on consciousness. He tripped, fell, and the flames came in to consume him... but the floor did not come to greet him. He kept falling, in an orange glow, towards his end.

But the end was not death, not at all. It was the end of his life as a prisoner, for as the world went from blurry to black and he could no longer see, the orange glow seemed to reflect off a rough dirt... the kind which was located outside the prison.

Cupping his hands, he began to excavate away layers of soil as fast as possible, tearing through the earth in search of stone.

"Come on, where's the rock?" he grunted, adding yet more dirt to the small pile beside him.

IC: "Got it. Bakusai Tenketsu!" he said, quickly finding the breaking point of the layer of rock and striking it. this in turn had produced a cavern about the size to snugly fit a Toa. Perfect.

Dropping in, he searched for the next point, jabbing it once found. Rinse and repeat.

As he tunneled into the rock, he began to explain things to pass time.

"Now this," he began, as they had cleared away about a hundred feet of rock. "is how the Bakusai Tenketsu was originally used. It's an old mining technique, used to clear out excess rubble. if there was a cave in, the miners would just break it down or tunnel out, like I am now. Very useful technique."

After about two dozen more feet, Cipher said, "I think we're far enough. Let's get some space, shall we?" he asked in a rhetorical question, beginning to carve out a roughly spherical cavern that would comfortably fit everyone. This would take him a while.

He was gone for a while, making side tunnels sometimes and then turning back, but still moving in a random, vaguely upward path.

IC Ikod/Kpik/Raeir:

Ikod didn't grin, nor smile, or show any signs of happiness, he simply got down to business. "I'm talking nuclear, Vezok. I know where a nuclear bomb is, in fact, it's right in the prison, you just have to know where to dig," he said to the Piraka.

Ikod knew the bomb was there, he was sure of it, he had read to many minds of to many intelligent guards and officials to be wrong.

It's just that, there were a few places where the bomb was supposed to be... Ikod just had to pinpoint it's location.

---

Kpik walked down a hallway, he was looking for Kellin, or Trip, or anybody that was in the group before they split up. After turning some corners, and putting out a bit of fire, he came upon a Toa-sized hole in the ground.

Figuring it to be nothing more than some inmate's work, he walked around it, that was until he heard voices coming from it.

He brought out his gun, and walked over to the hole, peering inside to see if anyone was there. He could tell the voices were of prisoners, so he reloaded his weapon, and hopped down into the hole, turning on his calix just in case these weren't friendly inmates.

OOC: Kpik is now in the hole. (lol that sounds strange)

---

Raeir spun around in a circle, laughing. He was making himself dizzy for the heck of it. When he stopped himself, he fell over on the ground, and stood back up, albeit a little disoriented.

"Now everything's moving," he said as he tried to steady himself, and a few moments later, his senses came back to him fully. "Ah, that's good!" he said, talking to his silent pal, Elf. He didn't mind that Elf said nothing at the moment, he just needed a good weapon.

He wished for a mask of illusion, he could use that to pull the best pranks, he sighed a a guard came around the corner with a bladed staff and a mask of intangibility. "Aw man, looks like I'll be pulling ghost jokes now," he said, he pushed Elf into a broken cell, dark, and silent, just where they needed to be for an ambush.

"Alright, one... two... THREE!" he screamed, taking some re-bar and smacking the guard over the head, knocking him instantly unconscious. "Yes! Now, let's see... weapon, it'll do, mask... I'll live with it," he said with a smile, he reached out a took the mask and weapons from the guard, and put on the guard's gunmetal armor. "Awesome, this armor completely makes up for the mask," he said, obviously unaware that he had almost killed someone.

"Let's go find you some stuff!" he said, pulling Elf out of the dark cell and out into the bright hallway, leading him onward to some destination.

Kellin cocked his ear. He heard...footsteps.

He turned to the group. "Did any of you close the hole?"

He was answered by blank stares, and he shook his head in anger. He grabbed his pistol and walked towards the sound, ready to raise it and fire at any moment.

GM: Vezok

Vezok looked at the prisoner. "Rumors travel fast when you're surrounded by convicts, I guess. Oh, well."

He whipped out a small, blue key.

"There are actually six nuclear devices on this island," said the blue Piraka. "Each Piraka has had one stored hidden somewhere around Hagah just in case worst comes to worst, Dark Hunter civil war, blah blah blah. Think of it as a contingency plan. No nuclear device will detonate without all of the seven keys that goes to it. Each Piraka and every member of their team has one."

He smiled to himself grimly. "Now," he asked, "how exactly did you hear about this bomb?"

IC: Dorian

Dorian was walking through the tunnels, looking for Kellin, when he felt...someone. Then, he looked around and noticed something off about the tunnels, almost as if they were...being redug?

He saw a glimpse of shadow bounce of one of the dark walls, and he crept towards it, ready to go for his gun.

IC Ikod/Kpik:

Ikod sighed, apparently he didn't know it all. "Didn't I tell you?" he asked, tapping his mask, "Suletu, I thought I said that," he said to the blue armored piraka. Without much of a business proposition anymore, Ikod didn't feel safe, he didn't know what he was going to tell Vezok now, and apparently the Piraka had control over the nukes all along.

"I heard it from guards and such, and you, whenever you came on this island. Vezok, you have some false idea that there are actually leaders of this riot, well, no, there aren't any. Kellin attacked a guard, inmates began to attack guards, and boom, you've got a riot, uncontrolled, and unpredictable."

He figured Vezok needed something from him, else he would be dead already, and he was gleaning a lot of information, almost too much, from this guy's unprotected mind.

"Odd..." he mumbled to himself, vaulting out of the hole and onto his feet.

"Where does this one lead?" he mumbled to himself, contemplating the discovery.

The bandana clad Toa stopped just short of rounding a corner.

His danger sense was at it again, stronger this time.

He definitely wasn't alone.

Idea. He'd been in this situation before, but not with the tools he had.

He scanned the walls behind him. It was the very rare person that could remain completely calm when a Toa bust through a wall, bearing down on them.

He mentally weighed his options, all three had pros and cons.

That wasn't the only thing. Ikod had this guy fooled, trapped in his own delusions of being the Piraka to STOP the riot. He could kill the other five fools and take control of the Dark Hunters himself-
