Altum Bellum -- Characters Profiles

Here's a list of every major character in the Altum Bellum serial, as well as their respective profiles. It should be noted that while these are the serial's most relevant chars, writers have full rights to add more chars as plot devices, foils, or just because they want something interesting.

The following chars are all Glatorian.

Name: Celurm
Allegiance: Magnacus/Magma Kingdom
Position: Promoted early on to Noca's viceroy. Upon the formation of the mercenary guild, elected its viceroy as well. Upon Baturo's death, elected its leader.
Personality: Your basic good but jaded soldier. He's got a generally pessimistic outlook on life; considers himself a realist. Possesses a dry but humorous sarcasm. Despises responsibility, leadership, and public recognition, and is ironically (and regrettably) a natural leader and a proactive individual. Personally hates fighting, but accepts its necessity and therefore fights more often that required. All the guy really wants is the quiet country life.

Name: Noca
Allegiance: Magnacus/Magma Kingdom
Position: Magnacus's ruler.
Personality: Magnacus's volatile-tempered, shrewd ruler. Popular among her subjects for her unprecedented record of military success and charisma, most of whom are incredibly intimidated by her. A trusting and trustworthy figure, she considers herself virtuous, but is driven by a sort of addiction to violence. Nice lady, good queen, but not the most stable of people.

Name: Pior
Allegiance: Roxtus/Stone Kingdom
Position: Roxtus's ruler.
Personality: Compensates for his lack of brawn with his brain. A criminal genius, Pior's committed treason on pretty much every level. He's addicted to power and the tornado of energy it sends whirling through his blood, and would betray his brethren for that sense of victory. Generally stays locked in the palace--pretty terrible close combat fighter.

Name: Pravu
Allegiance: Galo/Sea Kingdom
Position: Galo's ruler.
Personality: A tremendous, bulky buffoon. Unprovoked, a somewhat charming giant, who actually proves formidable on the battlefield. Provoked, a raging, easily offended monster, death to all in his path. The kind of guy you want on your side or out of your way.

Name: Baturo
Allegiance: Magnacus/Magma Kingdom
Position: Initially, one of Noca's prized lieutenants. As its founding member, de facto leader of the mercenary guild upon its formation.
Personality: A charming, charismatic individual, with an acute strategic instinct that carries him to the elite of the Magnacus ranks. A vigorous, spirited warrior with social connections in nearly every unit, his life is the kind whose end is mourned by the masses.
