BZPowercast Forum update

"Unfortunately another month has gone by and I am still here to talk about why the forums are offline. In the past month things have moved along, they were moving pretty quickly and then of course they slowed down again. It seems to keep being the case. We've upgraded to the latest version of the software, all the forums are in place, we have the staff in place, just about all of them, and the big thing now is that we kinda have to fix up the front page to work with the new forums, and they've changed some of the stuff on the back end on the back end that we used to use for things like showing how many new messages you had, recent premier members, hot topics etc. And also there is a couple of things left to do to get the archive online. Unfortunately our resident technical guy, Binkmeister, is the man responsible for doing most of this stuff, and now he has been very bust working on the lego websites you know and love, Hero Factory.com, Technic, and Ninjago.Obviously those things take up a lot of time, and personally I've been very busy with work , so unfortunately we don't have as much time as we'd like to spend on BZPower, but we are getting there. I still don't know ETA, and we apologize once again for this huge inconvenience, and we hope we'll see you all soon."

The good news: It seems BZPower is almost ready for the public.

Right. That's what we've all been waiting since Summer.

BZPower needs...

1) Needs new staff that are responsible and will stop making excuses.
2) Black Six gone or stepped down.
3) All of the above times 10.

I have to disagree with point 2. Black Six doesn't seem to have anything to do with BZPower-related problems. I do agree, however, with point 1. -- there are staff whose power seems to have gone to their heads. I know DeeVee once responded to criticism he received about posting a blog announcement in his blog rather than the BZPower blog by saying that he was a staff member and, as such, he could do whatever he wanted.

We should just PM other staff members whenever we see questionable staff actions, but seeing as BZPower is still down, this'll have to do.

Yes, but the problem you see is when someone questions BZP staff, Black Six either bans or proto zaps them even if it's off site.

Evidence: Remember the Dorek/Electric Turahk incident?

The thing is, instead of bringing up their complaints to Black Six, they were discussing it with others. Granted, they were on what I hear was a private chat, and I think what's private should stay private, but my point is, if someone doesn't like a staff member, they should tell Black Six about it.

Point is it shows Black Six abusing his power, and when a leader does that they "bury" their followers.

Thus meaning they aren't a leader they are per se a tyrant (not trying to be harsh but couldn't think of another word).

Just so you know man, Black Six has never abused his power.

He used it, which is a very, very big difference. He used it in a manner he thought correct, which he is entitled to, as he is the admin. It's his site. If you don't like how it's run, get the **** out. Although the incident on hand was private, as LL said, it didn't matter because to B6 it seemed as if the site was being badmouthed. I mean, if I went now to some site and badmouthed you guys, you wouldn't like it either.
