Staff Meeting 6th of August

First topic message reminder :

So, I'm calling a meeting for the 6th of August, at 10 PM EST/7 PM PST. I just want to have the possibility to go through everything we've done so far on KJ and consolidate/catch up on things. I also want to take the opportunity to address some ongoing issues, and talk more about BrickCraft.me.

I want this to take place on Google Talk. (Have I told you how much I hate the chatbox?) From what I know most of you should have a GT account - if not send me your email and I'll send you an invite to Google+ which will let you join us in the meeting. Alternatively we can choose to have the meeting on Skype and have some fun () but that will require enough of you first.

This is on a Saturday evening, so if you can't make it please tell me in advance. If too many of you can't show up then I'll see if I can reschedule it some other time.

So, I be there? And I'm in the US, (specifically CA), but I'm fine with any time since I never sleep.

We have to wait for Bioran to define what he means by staff. I guess he means the very high staff? Not sure yet.

GMail is only the thing that most people in Bionicle fandom use to communicate. It's a Google's Mail service, and is one of the most popular in the entire country with 193+ million users. You're missing out XP. Some people do use WLM like Dark Hunter, so it's good to have a Hotmail account as well working through MSN. Hotmail is the most popular service, but more Bionicle people use Mail, though the BS01 staff uses Hotmail. So it's always good to have both accounts if you need to be in something like this.

I also assume that Bioran means staff as in admins and leaders of projects. So the most people he wants in this meeting would be:

We only need people involved in the main projects, not everyone within in them that lead different parts, just the main people.

Though we need to Bioran to confirm if he means that or just Plast heads and MNI heads.

I'm assuming that Skarloth at least would be needed, and someone representing AC Media. Unless the MNI staff can do that efficiently and well. Though I understand why he wouldn't be.

I will(and am supposed to) represent AC media and/or the TM project.

I am happy for anyone to join. It'd be a nice way of getting to know everyone and also hearing everybody's input.

The meeting will be text-chat. I think a voice-chat or a video-chat would be an absolute nightmare.

Re: Audiobook button on AC page - Nope. Even if that "decision" is going ahead, fact is the focus will remain on TM before you go off doing whatever art/etc.

(Off topic: Point is, what do you mean go off? I'm struggling to understand why not advertising the Media and the other Serials (the Audiobooks of the serials, the Music, AB, PoJ) really helps.

We agreed not to show Art/MOCs/Models yet, but we really need to show at least enough of this thing. AC is planning to do all these things, and will. Nevertheless, to do that, we need to find people. The first impression is important -- if Origins goes well, people will check out other things in the project as well. If they find in there only two or more things, they will consider that the project isn't such a major thing, nor consider joining for Art, Music, 3D Model, etc. (Again, alright, we wont show the characters).

This doesn't mean we will go do everything at once, (which we can't), but it means we are showing everyone what the project truly is, so we can find more people to accelerate the work, when that 'work" comes up.

Unless, you just mean you want the page like that until the launch? Can you explain more on why we shouldn't advertise the full potential of the project? AC isn't two serials and an Audiobook, it's much more than just that.)

Also, what do you guys mean "represent"? It's meeting, not a diplomatic negotiation. xD

Also, again, can we change the meeting's time into 9/10AM for US EST? I really don't feel like losing this meeting. =/

Bioran yes, but as we found...we create media when we make music for TM and art for advertising.

So maybe it wouldn't be considered media, but it looks like media to me.

EDIT: Alright, Celu says he can't make it if the meeting is set in 6th August 10AM US EST. Realistically, it's too much to move the day of the meeting too.

We can either move it by one hour (meaning, the meeting will be in 11PM US EST, and 11AM for Bioran. For me, it's 6AM, which is better than 5AM in the morning.

If even that's not possible, well, I don't know. Is it going to be something major, like deciding stuff to happen? If so, I would like to be there to state my opinion.

But, if it's just a hang around, well, there will be many more, so it'sa okay.

Does anyone know if it's possible to enter a Google chat thingy using an iPod Touch?

Moving it an hour later would be fine for me.

Cool. When you guys mean Google Talk, you mean the chat in the email, right? If so, I found a way to log into it using my iPod!

Yeah. Apparently there's many ways to enter said chars, but that's it yeah.

The button should read "Audio Serial" not audiobook. The regular serials will be one voice audiobooks eventually. Also as I said before, the button doesn't work.

And what is the time for the meeting now? Bioran will just send me an invite on GMail, right?

Bioran's sleeping right now, so we have to wait but, would start the session anyways.
