First topic message reminder :

Today's the day, we all told ourselves. After two years of planning, two years we'd never get back, today was the day. It started out without a hitch. We went to our normal jobs, delegated by the Toa who ran this place. Fools. They never assumed, never even let it slip into their bloated, self-righteous heads that maybe we would escape. No. It couldn't be possible. Maybe it wouldn't have crossed ours, either, if conditions weren't so crappy here. We were beaten, starved, and degraded, which is NOT the way you want to fix the "dregs of society" like us. But I digress.

It started small. A prisoner or two "disappeared", the guards were sure it was just another murder. Security was loosened. That's when we took our chance. We overpowered what guards we could overpower, took what weapons we could, and torched that darn island to the ground. Hagah, that was their name for it. After some Toa Team of guardians. About 60 of us planned our escape. A quarter of that didn't make it, including my best friend. Crazy Piraka charged into a guard tower with an improvized explosive strapped to his chest trying to distract the sharpshooters. It wasn't pretty.

Anyway, we got to the teleportation devices that the prison inspectors used, but we found out they had already been switched to one-way when we sent five prisoners in and they came back in scorched body bags. Now we were stuck, and the Prison Board could fill the darn island with guards, cops, bounty hunters and the like whenever they wanted to. So, the 40 of us that were left went our seperate ways, figuring there was no way we could all get out in one big group. Now here we are, 40 murderers, thieves, drug cookers, and the like, trying to get off whatever's left of Hagah alive...and free.

Oh, happy days.

-Kellin (Prisoner #48104)

Locations

Hagah - The main island, home of the prison.

Hagah State Prison - Or what's left of it. The whole place was destroyed by the prisoners, and now only a few intact pieces of it are being used as bases for prisoners who are trying to form their own governmental system.

Free Hagah - The settlement constructed by the special police force that the Prison Board sent to quell the prisoners. Getting in here is murder, literally. The orders are shoot on sight unless you have the Guardchip embedded in your arm.

The Hagah Islets - There is a ring of dwarf islands surrounding Hagah, six to be exact, and each is named after a Toa Hagah.

Norik - The Islet of fire, Hakann, rival of everyone but himself, and second in command of the Prison board, resides here. The islet is no more than one miles in diameter, as all of the islets are. In the very center of this land of fire and lava is a black dome, burnt, with one entrance. Inside this base is Hakann and his soldiers.

Gaaki - The Islet of Water, this place is a small jungle with many rivers and small lakes, in the center of the lush jungle is a steel dome base, surrounded by about a hundred yards of dirt and sand. Vezok, the Piraka who lives and works there, doesn't like nature.

Iruini - The Islet of Air, it is basically a foggy island, with nothing on it but a gunmetal dome base, where Zaktan, the leader of the Prison Board, lives and works. Some very odd rumors come from this islet, such as the idea that Zaktan is the fog, or at least lives in it.

Pouks - The Islet of Stone, this small island is a metal box, surrounded by a force field, it's actually obvious that Avak lives here. No one is ever seen coming out, or going in, and nothing is known about the inside.

Kualus - The Islet of ice, it is a living mountain, just like the one on Xia, except it is under control by the islet's owner, Thok. The base on this islet is said to be deep within the mountain.

Bomonga - The Islet of Earth, it is nothing but a flat surface or sand, sinking sand, it is rumored to have it's base in the center of the sand pit. Reidak and his soldier dwell here, but they are rarely seen.

That's pretty much it. The smart ones don't generally stay in one place. It's an easy way to get captured or killed.

Factions

Prison Board - Otherwise known as The Piraka, six Skakdi who work for the Dark Hunters. They poorly run the island, and are the cause of the riot, and this whole problem with the Prison. Some say they were trying to make the Prisoners into a large army, but they backfired on them, and the riot began.

Prisoners - The 40 survivors of the Prisonbreak. They're generally not seen in groups, as it brings too much attention from the Board. They're mainly trying to get off the island alive, and all allegiances between them are fragile at best.

Natives - The residents of Hagah. They're abused by the Prison Board and treated bluntly by the prisoners, so it's not likely that they'd be too happy to see a member of either side.

Playable Species

Matoran
Toa
Steltian
Vortixx
Skakdi
Turaga

There are rumors that something went wrong with the teleporation devices when the prisoners tried using them, and a couple Black and White Makuta leaked out of some alternate dimensions. What a load of junk, huh?

Well, anyway, good luck surviving. I've told you all I can. Hope to see you in the free world, mate.

Rules

• BZP Rules apply, obviously.
• No god-modding (e.g. controlling someone else's character, having your character do something impossible). And if someone god-mods against you, don't do it back, tell a Prisonbreak Mod.
• This is a Text-Based RPG, so to join in you post what is basically a miniature story for what is currently happening to your character.
• Use IC for In-Character and OOC for Out-Of-Character.
e.g.:
IC: The Toa leapt from ledge to ledge, seeking the rogue Rahi.

OOC: Hey Randommember1, care to join in?
• Don't bunny (meaning control extensively) other peoples characters without their permission.
• Don't kill anothers character without permission.
• Unlimited Characters.
• No silliness such as suddenly turning everyone's swords into feather dusters and having a tickle-off. Believe me, it's not as funny as you think.
• Don't glory hog or continuously degrade someone else's character.
• Along with current restrictions you are not allowed any unreasonable elements (Life, Creation, or Time) and all characters are incapable of performing Nova Blasts. Light and Shadow are allowed, but only if you have a good enough reason deemed fit by a majority of the Prisonbreak mods. Custom species are allowed, but custom elements aren't. Current unusable masks are the Komau, Avohkii, Kraahkan, Mask of Creation, Mask of Elemental Energy, Aki, Rua, or any Kanohi Nuva.

IC: "No idea." Cipher said, in answer to Kpik. Made no sense whatsoever.

"I don't know where I'd go, haven't gotten that much an Idea of this place's geography, topography, the different biomes it has, all that stuff. If there's a forest, we could hide out there for maybe months, especially if it's big and has plenty of game."

IC Kpik:

"Uh, Cipher, that was the plan, we're headed toward the Forest. From there, we split up into pairs of three, and meet at the southwestern edge of the forest, or something," he said.

He wondered where Ikod was at the moment.

---

IC Ikod:

Ikod was actually one tunnel over, coming out into the prison. Once he emerged from the broken toilet, (he had no idea why it was ALWAYS the bathrooms) he looked around, and then closed the tunnel entrance.

"Alright, Vezok, what now? I'm back on Hagah, in the prison. Lemme tell you, this sure is a first class entrance for such a gentleman like yourself."

He walked out of the burning bathroom, and down the hallway, hopefully, Vezok hadn't said anything to the guards about him working with him, or else other prisoners (if he ran into them) would start getting suspicious.

He came upon a guard from behind, and snapped his neck with his grip. "Sorry pal, but I need your gun," he said, picking up the guard's weapon.

He needed to find the others, if he found them, he'd at least be able to know where they were. His plan was to get them free, all of them, without any trouble or pain.

Figuring out how was the difficulty.

OOC: Newsflash guys, there are other people in the RPG. It gets frustrating to log in every day to see 5 new pages. The least you could do is give others a chance to interact. It gets annoying to pretend that Trip wandered off in the middle of the fight, or was unconscious for it. Every fight, in fact. Most of the last few pages' posts were around 10 minutes apart Glare

IC Trip:

Trip left the main group after getting help with repairs from Ath. He felt a lot better now, and although there was still some lingering pain, he could move freely. He stalked through some of the newly formed tunnel systems, memorizing their paths for future reference. It appeared that Kellin and Wrynthios had a... minor altercation, but otherwise almost everyone was accounted for.

While administering minor repairs and cleaning himself off, Trip overheard Kpik express his concern over Ikod's whereabouts. With his armor gleaming anew and his metallic blueness visible once more, the android stalked off towards the ruins of the prison, searching for their lost comrade. More likely than not, he had succeeded in located his quarry and was still somewhere back there.

Before leaving, Trip located Kellin and informed him of all he learned during his data search. The keys to the nuclear bomb (which was indeed on the island) were very literal, and each Piraka had at least one. If they were going to use the bomb to their advantage, it would be much easier to do before escaping the island. He had found out more, definitely, but did not feel like sharing. There was comfort to be found in secrecy. Presently, the android was searching for the one prisoner that was unaccounted for.

Trip was used to operating in darkness, and coupled with the blue glow his own body produced and excellent night vision, the tunnel he was in was easy to navigate. According to his previous calculations, Trip was heading in the right direction. Perhaps Ikod was on his way to regroup even now...

Trip stopped walking. He was surprised by his own concern for another being, and wished to remove such thoughts from his mind. Back in combat he was following actions that were best for the survival, and successful escape, of the group. The group, he reminded himself, as a whole. There was no point in caring for individuals; they would only hold him back, and forming bonds with criminals had more than just advantages... consequences, which came with all relationships...

Trip briefly reminisced on a long lost memory, in which he found himself to be standing on a battlefield, the air thick with dust and the sun obscured by smoke. Hours had passed and he had grown tired. An elemental blast of fire whizzed by, heating the air and throwing the then-young Trip off guard. In turning around to follow its trajectory, the flames illuminated for a fraction of a second a figure, a radiant beauty in the darkness of midday and the uncertainty of his life. As time slowed for them and the smog cleared, the world seemed to melt away. He could see so clearly, the air was so warm and the dim light was so gentle, when all of a sudden--

Like the slow passage of time in his cell, Trip erased the memory from his mind. There was no use for useless emotions at this point in his life, and he was far more efficient without them. What had seemed a warm, calming glow of companionship instantly evaporated into the cold tunnel ahead of him. The only light he could see was his own blue glow.

IC-> Athillion:

According to his records, this fight was actually supposed to be done under different circumstances. Presently, it was done with the advantage of Kellin, whereas on his reality, Kellin's defences where down from a very, very powerful elemental blast he had taken before, by Prisoner One, whom Vvrynthios had joined forces, and later became his general, known as 'The Killer of Kellin'.

Athillion narrowed down his thoughts. This wasn't the problem. The situation was out of his hand; all he could do right now was to keep events as close as he could to his world, long enough to have time to locate and exterminate Prisoner One, while being in contact with the Mentors.

"Events that were supposed to take place into the future; could happen now, or even could have never happened."

Not knowing what was gonna happen was Athillion's deepest, and darkest fear. All these years, he had the power to know the future, and now, the thought of losing the advantage was a terrifying thought.

"I must find Bvinthio, and bring him here, fast enough to join the team, or else, all will be lost."

Athillion made sure Cipher would inform the others that'd he would travel back to the prison ruins to find a prisoner, someone 'important', and that he would also locate Trip there, and they would go together into the forest.

He begun scaling his way out of the tunnel.

Dorian stirred, stifling a groan. Blood leaked out of his mouth, so he wiped it up. He stood, wobbling at first, then supported himself against the cave wall, letting himself hide in the darkness.

He saw Ikod, the prisoner, snap a guard's neck and whisper. He's no doubt talking to another prisoner. If he finds me, I'm dead, no matter whose side he's on.

As soon as the prisoner had passed, Dorian moved as fast as he could through the tunnels, aiming to reach Gaaki before it was too late.

"Sure thing, Boss," he said, telling Dorian the plan. Ikod walked back into the prison, and searched around for anything that looked like a combination lock. Eventually, he found a screen, built into the wall, with a touchscreen and keyboard on it. "5113... and, here we go."

White panels on the wall folded into each other, and again, and again, until a doorway formed. He walked in, beckoning for Dorian to follow. When he got in there, he could only smile and grin.

After looking around, he could only pick one weapon, the ultimate weapon in this cache. A lancer. It was basically a machine gun with a chainsaw attached to the front of it, whoever had thought of it was a genius.

He picked up the gun, and fired off a few rounds into the wall, and then revved up the chainsaw, which worked like a charm on the metal walls.

He grinned madly, "Take this," he said, handing another lancer to Dorian, "Screw whatever other weapons you have, this is It."

Trip turned back to the prison and quietly began creeping towards it, awaiting further response from Ath.

IC--Elf--

Elf sneered comically at Raeir as an oblivious Athillion passed his shadow, lost among the others. He jerked his head in the cyborg's direction, motioning to follow him. He waited for him to get out of earshot as an extra precaution before silently materializing a few yards away. He followed that pattern a bit, keeping to the soundless dark. If Raeir stayed behind he'd brief him on the whole deal with the circus show in the tunnel later. Mischief, though less comic and naive now, pervaded his every gesture. The mood was darker.

IC--Vvrynthios--

One of nature's most cruel evils thrust onto her victims travels in many guises. Ignorance and oblivion were two common labels for analogous situations, though at the core that torture was named helplessness.

It surged through Vvrynth at first literally with the force of a bullet, a brilliance of pain erupting through his leg. The guns--their wielder had fired with a necessary haste--had not been aimed well, so the bullets had entered inches above his ankles, a minor injury, but the pain was an incomprehensible storm through him. Partly because it shot the rush of the moment out of him for good, reminded him of his ability to feel pain, to die. The pain was incomprehensible, bewildering for the first few moments, robbed him of rational thought.

When that passed and he processed it, voices entered his ears. That did not exactly reinforce the sense of utter bewilderment with the situation at hand. Conversation? He'd just experienced incredibly murderous impulses that had not overcome him in years. The exhilaration was spectacular, and inversely terrifying when he proved fallible. That bloodlust dissipated almost instantly upon hearing the conversational tone of those who remained strangers to him--he'd known them all for about an hour or two.

And here he sat lying, struck by utter awe and searing pain, too shocked to form speech, to even attempt to comprehend language.

A guttural, beastly roar formed in his throat, but emerged through his quivering--helpless--lips as nothing more than a whimper. He felt alone, a child.

Helpless.

Raeir followed Elf, swimming through the ceiling, slowly, he was actually getting bored, but it was kind of fun to watch those fools talk to each other.

He couldn't help but notice the one in pain, on his back, whispering to himself. Raeir, overcome with sympathy (there had been times when he was like that) dropped from the ceiling, and became solid again.

He walked slowly over to the Steltian being, holding a dagger to protect himself, he gulped, and took a step nearer to the being. Slowly, he spoke, "Are... are you... okay?" he asked slowly, and stammeringly.

He waited, slightly fearfully, for a response.

At the very least, the Steltian had control of his instincts. Had he been the slightest bit irritated, anyone sneaking up on him would've promptly received a fist in the nearest exposed body part. He let out a sort of miserable, pathetic moan.

The others were oblivious.

The suck-it-up-or-die soldier attitude refused to be knocked, or shot, out of him. "I'll be alright." He closed his eyes. It'd been a long time since he'd lost a fight. Longer since he'd bled. Pride bled just as quickly as blood. "Thank you."

IC Raeir:

Raeir heard the voice and was relieved that he wasn't dying or dead. "I'm Raeir. What's your name?" he asked, playing with his dagger in his hand. He didn't know how he could help this guy, until, he thought of something.

Air pressure. He was bleeding out a bunch of blood and such, so he focused on where he saw the wounds, and had the air around it and in it/on it become heavy, stopping the bleeding.

"There, that should help, as long as I don't get distracted."
